nu-Eden: Sundered Skies
//Felix Francesco Sawit
Felix Francesco Sawit
"I don't need high ground. I make it."
▸Backstory
Heavily armoured with reinforced hydraulic boots and deployable terrain projectors on his shoulders. Felix's voice is modulated to sound like distant thunder. He doesn't navigate the battlefield — he reshapes it. Elevation, cover, and choke points all bend to his will, turning open ground into a fortress and flat terrain into a mountain.
▸Personality
Felix is the kind of person who walks into an open field and sees a fortress. He is a logistics specialist and terrain engineer who thinks in elevation, sightlines, and structural load — every surface is either cover, a ramp, or a problem to be solved with more rock.
He is methodical and unhurried. Where Genzo sprints through chaos, Felix reconfigures it at walking speed. His battlefield awareness is architectural — he doesn't read enemy movements so much as determine which structures will funnel them into disadvantageous positions.
As Genesce's Strategist, he provides the physical foundation the team operates on. His relationship with Estel is complementary: she builds the strategic plan, he builds the terrain it needs to work. Together, they turn any environment into Genesce's environment.
Off-duty, he is quiet, dependable, and surprisingly funny in a deadpan way that catches people off guard. His humour, like his abilities, is grounded.
▸Appearance
Inspired by Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid. Felix's design is engineering might — heavy armour, terrain-shaping technology, and the physical presence of someone who was designed to hold ground.
- ▪Hair: Black, short, military-practical — no-maintenance
- ▪Eyes: Dark brown, focused, assessing terrain constantly
- ▪Build: Heavy and broad, augmented by the hydraulic frame — a human siege engine
- ▪Outfit: Heavy reinforced armour with deployable terrain projectors on the shoulders, hydraulic boots that crack the ground when he walks, modulated voice synthesiser at the throat, utility belt loaded with geological survey instruments
- ▪Color Palette: Earth tones — stone grey, deep brown, volcanic orange accents — like the terrain he commands
- ▪Distinguishing feature: The ground cracks slightly with each step. Not from weight — from the hydraulic systems in his boots priming for deployment. Walking near Felix sounds like approaching thunder.
▸Relationships
| Character | Relation | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Estel de la Victoria | Co-officer | Strategy and logistics. She designs the plan; he builds the terrain it needs. |
| Genzo Kazetani | Subordinate | Genzo is fast; Felix is the reason his speed has paths to follow. |
| Hitomi Satoru | Subordinate | Felix builds cover; Hitomi heals behind it. Structural teamwork. |
| Quentin Garritsen | Subordinate | Gravity and terrain — complementary forces that reshape any battlefield. |
▸Abilities
Passive — Tectonic Armor
Felix gains armor based on elevation. When on higher ground: +Damage. When on lower ground: +Damage Resistance. Standing still for 3s builds Seismic Pressure, boosting his next melee strike.
Tactical (1) — Breakstep
Performs a crushing leap or charge forward. Knocks enemies upward if landed on. Breaks weak terrain or creates small craters. Holding jump on impact generates a shockwave.
Core (2) — Mantle Shards
Deploys a shielded barricade or forward platform. Allies can stand atop or take cover. Reflects light projectiles for 2s after activation. Double-tap to swap between wall and ramp mode.
Special (3) — Groundswell
Felix smashes the ground, creating tremors. Slows enemies and disorients aim. Allies gain knockback resistance and movement speed. Duration: 5s.
Ultimate (4) — Continental Divide
Felix splits the battlefield, creating a fracture that divides the map with terrain walls. Walls block movement and most projectiles. Inside the rift, allies gain buffs based on terrain — high ground: +Crit, low ground: +Defense. Lasts 10s.
▸Trivia
- ▪Name origin: Named after Felix Lee (Stray Kids) and a real-life secondary school teacher who was also an army superior. The character was originally named "Francis." The surname evolved: Fonacier → Catibayan → Sawit.
- ▪"Shylock" is an unexpected alias for a terrain engineer — referencing the Merchant of Venice rather than geology. The earlier alias "Vantage" was more literal. "Shylock" suggests the extraction of what's owed — Felix takes from the terrain what the team needs, and the terrain pays.
- ▪Solid Snake inspiration is visible in the heavy tactical design, the gruff competence, and the sense that Felix could survive anything by sheer operational stubbornness.
- ▪Voice modulation makes him sound like distant thunder — not for intimidation, but because the terrain projectors interfere with his vocal frequencies. He's gotten used to it.
▸Goals
- ▪Shape every battlefield — Continental Divide is his magnum opus. He wants to make it bigger. He wants to divide continents, not just combat zones.
- ▪Support from below — Felix's role is literal foundation. He builds the ground the team fights on. He takes pride in this, and resents nothing about it.
- ▪Perfect the logistics — terrain is one variable. Supply lines, resource distribution, and strategic positioning are others. Felix optimises all of them.
- ▪Walk louder — the thunder-step isn't a flaw. It's a statement. Felix intends to make the statement clearer.
