Ilya Asimov — "Kaiser"

Ezra's older brother, branded a tyrant by the system he sought to reform. Ilya fights with arcane fury and inherited fire — his abilities forge battlefield control through raw destructive power and magical infrastructure.

Julia Choi — "Stasia"

Frozen by trauma, Julia follows in the wake of her sister Jana (Avanza). Her ice-type controller abilities create cryofracture zones, protective condensate barriers, and temporal zero-point events that freeze the battlefield in absolute stasis.

Karina Moriuchi — "Voxelle"

Kizuna's younger sister, a former indie game dev whose mind fractured after a corrupted maborite VR incident. Karina now lives inside the glitch — rewriting reality one logic error at a time. Her abilities use Boolean logic gates (AND, OR, XOR, NAND, etc.) to alter every skill's behaviour.

Lyndsey Park — "Lunox"

A former social media icon turned field operative, Conrad's ex and mentor. Lyndsey channels both light and shadow through her Phaseflip stance system — Lux for healing, blinding, and cleansing; Nox for fear, silence, and shadow suppression.

Malcolm Ellis — "Minmax"

Madeline's father and a former military sniper with a moral code too sharp for his superiors. Now he watches the battlefield with one eye on his scope and the other on his daughter. Malcolm's abilities combine suppression stacking, tracking rounds, and terminal execution marks.

Trivia

Tesserae's name is based on the concept of a tessera — a small tile used in mosaics. Each member of the team represents a different piece of the larger picture, and together they form a cohesive whole. The name also references the idea of "tessellation."

The first three members of Tesserae — Ilya, Julia, Karina — are named after three of the four quaternion coefficients (i, j, k), reflecting the team's rotational mathematics theme.
