nu-Eden: Sundered Skies
//Scott Moore
Scott Moore
"You'll never see me coming. You'll feel it, though."
▸Backstory
A biochemical hacker turned street saboteur, Scott used to rig corporate labs with stealth spores — now his poisons speak louder than his voice ever could. He wears tactical stealth armor with deployable drones, a half-mask rebreather, hoodie, and visor.
▸Personality
Scott is the silence between the noise. In a team built around family bonds and childhood friendships, he's the one who communicates in absences — absent words, absent eye contact, absent warmth. He's reclusive, emotionally distant, and the kind of loyal that expresses itself through action rather than affection.
At 24, he's part of the original trio with Alex and Jana, but where Alex leads with fists and Jana leads with flow, Scott leads with what you never see coming. His biochemical expertise was built in corporate labs before he turned saboteur; the same precision that once synthesized pharmaceutical solutions now synthesizes the things that make solutions unnecessary.
Proxy is the right codename (formerly Nightshade). He operates through intermediaries — drones, decoys, toxins, shadows. Direct confrontation is something that happens to other people. Scott ensures problems are resolved before they become confrontations.
Beneath the rebreather and the emotional distance, he's fiercely loyal to Alex and Jana. The bond isn't spoken. It doesn't need to be. Three kids from the same resistance bunker, fighting the same war from different angles — Alex from the front, Jana from the deep, Scott from the dark.
▸Appearance
Inspired by Kojo and Hawk (Project Divider), and True Damage Ekko (voiced by Thutmose). Scott's design is urban stealth operative — hood up, face hidden, built to disappear.
- ▪Hair: Dark, kept short under the hood — utilitarian
- ▪Eyes: Sharp and watchful, always scanning — visible through the visor gap
- ▪Build: Lean and agile, built for quick exits and precision work — an infiltrator's physique
- ▪Outfit: Tactical stealth armor under a hood-up jacket, half-mask rebreather that filters toxins and obscures identity, deployable drone hardpoints on shoulders, visor with biochemical analysis HUD. Pockets everywhere.
- ▪Color Palette: Black, dark gray, muted red-orange — shadow with embers
- ▪Distinguishing feature: The half-mask rebreather. He never takes it off in combat. In casual settings, he pushes it to his chin but doesn't remove it. It's armor for his face the way silence is armor for everything else.
▸Relationships
| Character | Relation | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Alex Matsuno | Childhood friend | The original trio. Alex is the front line; Scott is the shadow behind it. Loyalty expressed through proximity, not words. |
| Jana Choi | Childhood friend | The original trio. Jana and Scott are both covert operators — one in water, one in toxins. They understand each other's silences. |
| Helena Moore | Mother | Codename [Valkyr]. Biochemical specialist, veteran. Helena's expertise is where Scott learned his craft. She's non-commissioned but her influence runs deep. |
| Brooke Matsuno | Teammate | Scott watches over Brooke the way he watches over everything — from the dark, without being asked. |
▸Abilities
Passive — Toxic Trace
Melee hits and bullets apply a stacking poison effect. At 3 stacks, target becomes disoriented.
Tactical (1) — Decoy Drone
Deploys a hovering hologram of himself. Explodes on destruction, releasing toxic mist. Can be detonated manually for damage + blind.
Core (2) — Venom Lash
Whiplike lash that strikes a cone in front. Applies 2 stacks of poison. On poisoned targets, applies confusion.
Special (3) — Hollow Shell
Enters a drone-linked state. Controls a remote body while the real one becomes invisible but immobile. Lasts 6s or until cancelled.
Ultimate (4) — Blacksite
Creates a temporary shadow dome. Enemies inside are blinded and take poison damage over time. Allies gain invisibility and double poison resistance. Lasts 10s.
▸Trivia
- ▪Name origin: "Scott" comes from Scott Sterling (the Studio C comedy meme — "The Man. The Myth. The Legend."). His surname "Moore" comes from drummer Eric Moore.
- ▪Codename history: Nightshade → Proxy. The first name was the toxin; the second is the method. The evolution maps his shift from brute biochemistry to calculated indirection.
- ▪Original trio: Alex, Jana, and Scott — the first three characters designed for nu-Eden (2021). Scott is the shadow corner of the triangle.
- ▪Type discrepancy: Listed as Fire in the current build, but originally designed as Poison-type. The biochemical hacker backstory reflects his original typing more accurately. (His env data lists him as Poison-type.)
- ▪Design lineage: Kojo + Hawk (Project Divider) + True Damage Ekko. The Ekko connection is intentional — Thutmose voiced True Damage Ekko, and Thutmose is Scott's Music Artist Association.
- ▪Honest Trailer nickname: "Lava Bwoy"
▸Goals
- ▪Stay invisible — not metaphorically. Physically. Scott's effectiveness depends on never being the center of attention. The moment people look at him, the mission failed.
- ▪Protect the trio — Alex and Jana are the only people who see past the rebreather. He'll burn the world down for them, from behind a drone, where no one can see him do it.
- ▪Understand Blacksite — the shadow dome is more than toxins. Something else lives in the dark he creates. He's investigating.
- ▪Honor Helena's work — his mother built the biochemical foundation. Scott carries it forward in ways she wouldn't approve of. The guilt is productive.
