//The Seven Conglomerates

The Board is not a monolithic entity—it is a parliament of seven mega-corporations, each controlling a critical sector of nu-Eden's infrastructure. Each conglomerate is tied to a deadly sin, each sin has a Seal (a metaphorical mark of its impact), and each director believes they are saving the world through optimisation.

They are not wrong. They are simply optimising for profit.

Shared Infrastructure

The conglomerates do not exist in competition—they exist in mutual dependency. Three technologies bind them together:

Reflexio — The Unblockable Sky

Operators: Eos, Maboroshi, Tectra, Qroma

A persistent AR overlay that covers every visual surface in nu-Eden. Advertisements. Propaganda. Personalized content designed to manipulate desire and thought. Reflexio is not optional—it is wired into the neurology of the city itself.

  • Eos controls creative design and emotional narrative
  • Maboroshi controls the hardware that displays it
  • Tectra controls the data that personalises it
  • Qroma controls the capital that monetises it

Neumora — The Neural Leash

Operators: Syntera, Arcanis, OrdoPrimus, Maboroshi, Tectra

Bio-augmentations and implants that enhance human capability while creating neural dependency. Neumora is presented as voluntary enhancement. It is experienced as necessary survival.

  • Syntera manufactures the implants
  • Arcanis distributes them militarily
  • OrdoPrimus mandates them through law and education
  • Maboroshi provides the hardware substrate
  • Tectra monitors and collects biometric data

Credisys — Quantified Humanity

Operators: Tectra, Qroma, OrdoPrimus, Arcanis

A social credit system that gamifies human value. Your Credisys score determines your access to:

  • Medical care (Syntera)
  • Housing (Qroma)
  • Education (OrdoPrimus)
  • Employment (all conglomerates)
  • Legal protection (OrdoPrimus)
  • Life-extension drugs (Syntera)

Credisys ranges from +XI Transcendent (above all law) to -XI Invalidated (below society). Most citizens fall between +II and -II.

Inter-Conglomerate Relationships

The Board is stable because each conglomerate controls something the others need—creating a mutual hostage situation disguised as corporate harmony.

RelationshipFunction
Eos ↔ MaboroshiCreative vs. Engineering—together they sell the future
Tectra ↔ QromaData vs. Capital—information monetised
Syntera ↔ ArcanisMedicine vs. Military—wellness as weapon
OrdoPrimus → AllLaw & Education enforce all systems
Tariq (Wrath)Military enforcement for every conglomerate—nobody questions Arcanis

Opposition & Resistance

nERF

Classified by the Board as a Tier-0 Existential Threat. nERF targets individual conglomerates, exposing exploitation and recruiting defectors. One defection could collapse a sector.

C.I.D.E

The enforcement arm that maintains corporate dominance. C.I.D.E does not report to The Board formally—it reports through OrdoPrimus's legal framework, which gives it plausible deniability.

The Triad

Used strategically by the Board to create managed chaos in the Heap. As long as Lazulum, Amaranth, and Malachite fight each other, they cannot unite against corporate hegemony.

The Seals

Each conglomerate has a Seal—a metaphorical mark of what its sin unleashes:

  • Conquest (Maboroshi) — The belief that resources can be infinitely extracted
  • Martyrdom (Eos) — The belief that desire can be infinitely manufactured
  • Death (Syntera) — The belief that life can be bought and sold
  • Silence (Qroma) — The belief that value is determined in closed rooms
  • Famine (Tectra) — The belief that information scarcity creates order
  • Destruction (OrdoPrimus) — The belief that order requires erasure
  • War (Arcanis) — The belief that force is the ultimate language

Together, these seven seals are the architecture of nu-Eden.
