▸Overview
Empire of Draconis is the autotheocratic empire from which nu-Eden originally broke away. Founded on rigid hierarchy, theocratic bureaucracy, and imperialistic expansion, Empire of Draconis represents everything the city's founders fled — and everything that constantly threatens to reclaim them.
Empire of Draconis is governed by a single will: Xerxes XVI, the Red Emperor — a being who has transcended conventional humanity through centuries of arcane technology fusion, genetic augmentation, and mind/body integration with the empire's ancient systems. He is less a person now and more a living avatar of Draconis' collective will.
▸The Interstice
Between nu-Eden and Draconis lies The Interstice — an exclusion zone of fractured reality, pre-universal matter (edenite/maborite residue), and spatial scars from Eden's early exploitation. It serves as a DMZ inhabited by exiles, nomads, and anomalies from both sides. Both nu-Eden and Draconis heavily guard its borders.
