Recons are scouts and intel gatherers: reveal mechanics, mark targets, and enable coordinated team strikes.

Recon units are force multipliers. Their ability to mark targets allows Marksmen and Assassins to find and exploit weaknesses. Information is their primary currency, and a good Recon player will spend more time watching sightlines than trading blows.

▸Design Notes

• ▪Focus: Tools should be low-damage but high-utility; reward map knowledge and team coordination.
• ▪Information: Radar pings, outline silhouettes, and mini-map markers must be intuitive and not clutter the UI.

▸Typical Abilities (design template)

• ▪Passive — Intel Network: grants a small bonus to ability recharge speed for any ally who deals damage to a marked target.
• ▪Tactical (1) — Scouting Drone: deploy a drone that tags enemies in a small area.
• ▪Core (2) — Marking Arrow: fire a projectile that marks the first enemy hit, revealing them through walls for 5 seconds.
• ▪Special (3) — Radar Pulse: emit a pulse that briefly reveals all nearby enemies on the mini-map.
• ▪Ultimate (4) — Grand Intelligence: a massive area-of-effect ability that reveals all enemies in a giant radius and marks them for 10 seconds.
