Plant focuses on growth, tethering, and long-term terrain control: seeds that sprout, vines that immobilise, and regenerative zones.

Mechanics

  • Organic Growth: Plant abilities often leave behind "Seeds." After 3 seconds, seeds sprout into vines that "Tangle" any enemy passing through.
  • Spore Healing: Plant Triage units can release spores that heal allies over time. If an enemy is in the spore cloud, they are instead slowed.
  • Living Wall: Plant Bulwarks can grow barriers that absorb damage and then burst into a cloud of healing spores when destroyed.

Design Cues

  • VFX: Green and brown palettes with bioluminescent accents. Layered foliage and growing vine animations.
  • SFX: Rustling leaves, snapping wood, and squishing organic sounds (Hollow Knight organic detail).

Typical Abilities (design template)

  • Passive — Photosynthesis: standing in direct light or near plant fields increases ability recharge speed.
  • Tactical (1) — Seed Shot: fire a seed that deals small damage and sprouts vines on impact.
  • Core (2) — Vine Whip: a medium-range arc attack that deals slice damage and tangles enemies.
  • Special (3) — Overgrowth: temporarily increases the size and health of all nearby plant structures.
  • Ultimate (4) — Nature's Wrath: summen a massive forest of vines that entangle and deal heavy slice damage to all enemies in a giant area.

  • Synergies: Water (growth acceleration), Poison (toxic growth), Ground (soil interactions).
  • Counters: Fire (burns plants), Ice (withers structures), Metal (slices through vines).

VFX & Audio Notes

  • Palette: lush greens, earthy browns; bioluminescent accents, rustling leaf textures and snapping wood SFX.
