Mechanics

  • Drone Network: Tech Recons can deploy scouting drones that tag enemies in a radius, even through certain walls.
  • Network Infection: Techno attacks apply a "Hacked" status that reduces an enemy's ability to use active cooling or recharge meters.
  • Scrambled HUD: Tech attacks can apply "Scrambled," which temporarily hides the target's mini-map and ability cooldown timers.
  • Overclocking: The user can enter an "Overclocked" state where every third basic attack triggers a micro-burst of speed, ideal for Fighters.
  • Modular Shields: Tech Sentinels can deploy static barriers that can be "upgraded" mid-combat to pulse with healing or damage-reducing fields.

  • VFX: Holographic UI overlays, neon grids, scanning beams, and binary code trails. Digital "dissolve" effects during dashes.
  • SFX: Servo whirring, synthesisers, modem chirps, and electronic confirmation pings.
