Mechanics

  • Chain lightning: Electro attacks can jump between "Shocked" targets, making it the premier type for clearing groups of low-health enemies.
  • System disruption: Mechanical units (turrets, drones, or Techno-typed characters) suffer increased stun duration from Electro hits.
  • Energized State: Being "Energized" increases base movement speed and reduces the wind-up time for heavy attacks, perfect for Lancers.

Design Cues

  • VFX: Electro blues, white sparks; thin lightning forks, bright impact blips, and high-frequency sizzles.
  • SFX: Sharp cracks, electrical humming, and the "pop" of a short circuit.

Typical Abilities (design template)

  • Passive — Conductive Charge: hits add a charge; at X charges the next ability arcs to nearby targets.
  • Tactical (1) — Arc Snap: single-target zap that stuns and arcs to a second nearby target.
  • Core (2) — Chain Field: sends an arcing beam that connects enemies and reduces their action speeds.
  • Special (3) — EMP Pulse: disables enemy electronics and removes certain buffs for a short duration.
  • Ultimate (4) — Thunderfall: high-intensity chain storm that prioritises high-health or high-threat targets.

Synergies & Counters

  • Synergies: Tech/Techno (exploit electronic weaknesses), Sound (timing combos).
  • Counters: Ground/Insulation (reduces conductivity), Virtual (decouples physical systems).
